  1. I notice the absence of comments about the Velocity Ball, and must speak up with accolades for it's quality. I improved my handicap more than 2 points, and hit it further and straighter. Thanks titleist. I, too, would like to see a yellow version.

I'd agree that not much is said. I see more Velocity balls on course relative to feedback I read. Someone is buying them. Just about anybody can find a Titleist ball to match their game. Although a yellow ball may be asking too much. LOL!

I normally play the Pro V1x ball, but there are times when I enjoy using the Velocity ball during team Scramble events -- the event where a team of golfers all play their tee shot, then decide which ball to use for the next shot. Then everyone plays their ball from that spot and continue to do so until they hole out.

During these events, every team is required to use at least 4 tee shots from each player. As such, I like using the Velocity for the extra bit of distance off of the tee!

Titleist makes a number of different types of golf balls to fit different preferences and levels of play. I have hit every ball that they make and found that the Prov1 suits my game the best and hit is as far as any ball they make. The only ball I would use in league or tournament play. Actually won the long ball contest at the TT invitational this year with the Prov1. I find the Velocity is a very hard ball and while it is long, fairway to green, difficult to stop. In the winter I do prefer a lower compression ball and on cold days will substitute the DT Trusoft yellow. We are fortunate that Titleist offers us a number of quality golf balls to choose from.
  5. I like the Velocity ball off the tee. I haven't had any worries about my control near the green although I do sense the difference in feel a bit. But when I tee up a Velocity I get the surge of confidence that I'm going to crush my drive.
