  1. I received a sleeve of the TruSoft to try out along side the ball I normally play. I normally play the NXT Tour S and I love the soft feel. When I played the new TruSoft I thought it felt a little hard on the tee box, but that is about what I expected from the ball. I did like the way it felt with my short Irons and I was able to stop the ball on the green. I noticed it didn't have quite the spin as the NXT's but still able to stop the ball (just couldn't draw it back). For the money I think this ball is incredibly hard to beat, but for my personal preference I will be sticking with the NXT's. Thank you Titleist for sending me a sleeve of balls to try out, and I look forward to testing more products in the future.

  2. I just tried my sample sleeve, and I will definitely play these balls until and unless Titleist lures me in some different direction. As a predictably short hitting senior, I value accuracy over length, and these balls fly straight for me. They also feel great off the putter.

I normally play the Prov1 and the DT TruSofts are number two on my list. It is a great ball regarding distance and spin in my book.

    Hey Chuck!

Can you share with us how you found the cover on the DT Trusoft ? How does it compare with the feel of the Pro V1 ball? The Pro V1/X come with soft, urethane covers whereas the Trusoft comes with a Surlyn blend cover.

One of the YouTube golf reviewers did an on-course comparison of the Titleist balls and he really liked the amount of spin he could generate with the Trusoft balls (he used the GC Quad launch monitor for data).

I was surprised that he was able to achieve such high spin numbers with the Trusoft!
  5. I have enjoyed my sample sleeve. I put it up against the Calloway Chrome soft and was very happy. I used to play the DT So Lo until they were discontinued and switched to the Chrome soft. These DT TruSoft are a nice ball and have a new home in my bag.

The DT TruSoft is the replacement for the DT So Lo. DJ: I find the spin on them to be more than adequate for my game, although I have not tested them on the Trackman to do a real comparison regarding spin. I am a picker of the ball also, so I do not spin the ball as much as most.

I am an older golf at 71, but guess I hit the ball longer than most my age. 150 with my 7 iron and my drives fly about 235, 14* launch, 2300 launch spin, swing speed 93mph (numbers provided by my Titleist fitter at my recent fitting).

Thanks for the feedback Chuck! I tend to give out a dozen of the TItleist DT Trusofts as a gift for many of my friends that I play golf with. It seems to always go down well with them!

    Jason,
Have you done much comparison between the NXT Tour and NXT Tour S. How does the S compare durability wise? I am curious if they hold up as well. Thanks for any input. Have a good day TT!
  10. I have actually played both the NXT and the NXT S this summer. I absolutely loved the NXT Tour and found no fault in that ball until I hit the NXT Tour S, this ball was a little softer and gave me great short iron control while not compromising the distance of drives and long irons. I have not found any issues with durability. I have actually been able to play multiple rounds with the same ball, and I’m usually a guy who wants a new ball to start a round.

I've been a fan of the Trusoft since it came out a couple years ago. Initially loved the ball but didn't like the orange line around them.. I tried numerous balls...Chrome soft, Volvik Bridgestone and others. I prefer the High Optic yellow since they are easier to follow.

Let me say this, The new 2017 Dt Trusoft does everything the others did at half the price. I've switched on the spot back to the Trusoft. I play to a 5 hdcp and these do everything I ask of it, Long off the tee, Holds the green and even backs up. You owe it to yourself to try this ball, I can't say enough good things about it. Thanks Titleist, another great ball!!!
  12. I received my DT Trusofts and loved the way they felt straight out the box!!! I like the powerful sound I get off the tee but the soft feel with my irons and wedges. The durability of the DT Trusoft is great. Actually played an entire 18 holes without losing a ball, which is rare, and the ball looked brand new from start to finish!

I want to thank Titleist for the opportunity to test this ball early, and hope for more opportunities to do the same thing!

Been testing sample sleeve of DT Trusoft and certainly won over by them. More distance and softer feel. They are standing up to regular play and even shine out in the rough when the occasional errant shot doesn't behave!!. No surprise that they will be in my bag from now on. Great ball and thoroughly recommend them.

  14. I received a test sleeve of the DT True Soft. These are the balls that I usually play. I have gotten a box of the cally Supper Soft. The distance was about the same with Driver & Irons. The DT True soft was better with the wedges & on the green. So I will continue to play my DT True Soft. Would be nice if the would make them in Pink
  15. Went out and got a dozen of the new DT Trusofts before my round today... very impressed.

As a college kid with a less than stellar handicap, I think I'm going to be moving from Pro V1's to the DT's. The extra roll-out will take a little getting used to (really only on 5-8 irons, and it's only about 10% more roll-out at that. I'm not a super high-spin producing player), but on full wedge shots I was still getting some great check, if not stopping where they landed.

Very happy and I think I've been converted. Thank you Titleist!

I also have been using the DT Tru Soft and they are by far the best ball I have ever hit! As a 18 handicap I do not hit the center of the club often but when I do the DT stays in the air longer and jumps off my club.

Team Titleist kindly sent me a sleeve of the new DT Truesofts to try.

After 3weeks of on course testing against my current gaming ball which is the cally Super Soft.

Driver Titleist 915D3 used the distance between the 2 balls is 5 to 10 yards either way all depending on my strike, for me the Titleist looked to spin up more which for me always robs me of distance but again that could be down to strike. If I pure both balls same strike i get 10 yards further out of the callway.

Irons long to middle irons again i had better distance and control with the cally.

Short Irons different story much greater control and distance with the Titleist Turesoft which would back up what i think and i feel that i am getting more spin with the truesoft.

The feel between the two balls as far as soft feel goes i think the cally just shades it but i am splitting hairs.

Off the putter i noticed the Truesoft seemed to roll very well as though the ball was perfectly round.

My age is 60, Hcp is 10.1 currently i play at least 5 times a week,Driver carry distance is 219yards. swing speed last time i had it checked was 85mph.

I will try and do some more testing in December time, to see what a cold north east England winter wind does to the balls, the weather conditions over a 3 week period top temp was 16degress down to 9 degrees windy and wet.

I am not a robot so my findings are based on how i struck the ball that day.
