Had a long day at work on Thursday, between getting a big hug from my little princess and seeing the test balls it really helped turn around my day. Looking forward to testing the balls on Sunday.

I have filled out an application to test Titleist golf balls for 4 years now. What is the average time to wait? Thanks!
    Play Well,

  3. Hope I didn't get the placebo :)
  4. Played them yesterday. Felt like a soft version of the velocity. Ball felt solid off the club, but had a softer, more solid feel

I played five rounds with the white test ball. While I saw an increase in distance on hybrids and irons, the ball was noticeably shorter off my driver. I play the png G LS 10.5 degree model and I wonder if that has something to do with it. The test ball spun well on full iron shots into greens but did not feel as soft as a ProV.

While I may have simply had a strange swing day, I found my test ball to be ever — if only a little — "flatter" in trajectory as my clubs moved from 9i to D.
  7. I got the test balls in white. They seems to be most comparable to the srxn Q Star Tour. The feel is soft but not too soft. From 60 yards they stop about 3 inches from the divot. From 90 yards with full SW they spin back about 3 inches. Flight off the driver is higher than my normal flight. Distance is a few yards less than my current ball. I think with the feel of this test ball it would be good even in cooler weather. I would not replace my current ball with this test ball, however in wetter conditions I definitely consider using this test ball. Depending on price point I would consider using this as a back up ball. Hopefully this will be a $30 a dozen or less ball. I think that would be a great price point.

I really like the yellow balls in the fall.
  9. Recv'd test balls Thurs, tested them today. I was concerned that my results were very similar to the NXT Tours that I play regularly. After reading a number of test responses, I guess I was not that far off in my evaluation. I really liked this whole process. Thanks Team Titleist.

This ball had the perfect amount of spin for all my clubs. Hybrids, Irons and wedges would all stop close to their divots. I play a Titleist 917 D2 9.5* driver
and I saw, without question, an increase in driver distance. Pretty close to the
cally Supersoft I compared it to with the Irons. 1 of the things I really liked with the wedges was that the ball was easy to flight down and it still stopped.

I have just completed two rounds with the prototype optic yellow ball. I am compairing it to the NXT Tour S yellow that I normally use. The new ball easily gave me 10 additional yards with all clubs, even wedges. The flight was straighter, less spin and a significanly higher trajectory, thus more controlled distance. I feel the new optic yellow is brighter and easier to see that the current ball. I use hybrids for longer fairway and rough shots, and was nothing but impressed with the prototype. We have bermuda fairways and rough to this ball flight and easy distance gain was fun. My last two rounds were 5 and 7 strokes lower than when I used the older NXT Tour S on the same course. Great ball Titleist.
  12. Got mine yesterday too, hope the weather holds up this weekend to try them!

Wonder what model you have...dimple pattern is not ProV1-ish.
