New test balls

    Just received 2 sleeves of test balls for wet & moist conditions. One sleeve the balls are marked with a triangle with a dot in the center & the other is marked with a square with dot in center. No names on the ball. Anybody else receive them or know anything about them? Only difference I notice is dimple pattern.

    Don P - congratulations on being selected as an early prototype ball tester. You just need to judge each against the other and against your regular ball. As they are both prototypes, the potential that either will come to market is not high. You don't need to be concerned what they are. Based on the timing, there's a better potential that these are urethane prototypes with the Jan. 2018 release being the Pro-V lines.
    Larry M - while no official announcement has been made, the distribution is far wide of CA, AZ, and FL. Many pro shops that display Titleist balls now have the AVX in stock. All 3 courses and my local retail golf shop I stop by in WI have them in stock.

    Don O........There is no January 2018 release of any Pro V1 lines.

    Last fall I tested two prototypes and they had the square and triangle symbol. Take good notes, they appreciate precise feedback.

    I got two sleeves as well - my question - since they say the balls are for wet conditions - are we supposed to wait for a rainy/wet day to do the comparison? It would seem so - but the insert didn't specify that.
