I coach a girls team and while I have talented girls who go on to play at the collegiate level and they use pro v’s, I also have a few beginners that don’t need pro v performance because the can’t hit 11000 rpm wedge shots. From what I’ve been reading it seems like a softer low spin ball might be better for higher handicap players because the their drives will go longer with less spin. I’m curious what you guys/girls are using and what Titleist would recommend. In a world of unlimited budgets I’d order 30 dozen pro v1’s but I might be able to get comparable if not better performance for my high handicap players with a 2 piece ball and have my top players hit pro v1’s. Your thoughts appreciated

You might consider the DT Tru Soft for your beginning/higher handicap players. It's a very good ball and the price point won't break your budget.

I'd like to add to your request by asking for the same player a ball that will still give them some bite on the greens. My wife and other slow swing speed players I know get no bite on short irons and chips. A short sided pin faces a long putt coming back after the long roll-out. My wife buys inexpensive pink balls because she likes the pink. Similar to David's high handicappers, is there something out there that I should turn her toward without breaking the bank?

Take a look at the new Tour Soft, it is a great all around ball. It you really want a very soft feel in the ball, then the DT Trusoft is the ball. It is the softest ball Titleist makes. The Velocity will offer the least amount of spin off all clubs.

Tour Soft and DT TruSoft would be cost-effective choices. I suppose it also depends on how well motivated they are. If someone is teachable to not swing over the top and willing to practice, I would not limit the choice and hope for developing an unexpected mid-level player. It's a tough job balancing budgets and not telegraphing to someone you have less faith in them.

I would suggest starting the beginners off with velocity or other similar ball. The women could use the tour soft ?
