Hybrid Shaft help

    I am having a lot of trouble hitting my new Hybrid 21 with the std. Titieist Diamana Stiff 80 - I just cant seem to hit it straight. Play to a 6 hcp, I played Titieist Forged Zblend irons with the project x flighted 5.5, and hit my irons very very well, usually very straight, and have no trouble with my 3 wood either. I am wondering if I should try a project x shaft for the Hybrid that would match my irons. Seems logical to me - any experts have an opinion on this ?

    Rob - I had a similar issue with my hybrids.  I am hitting DG stiff in my irons and playing stiff flex RIP in my woods.  I had no problems with those.  But, I was pushing my hybrid shots to the right or pulling to the left.  I had stiff flex Diamana Blue in those.  I was messing around with a regular flex hybrid with Diamana Blue on the range (same Titleist head) and was hitting it great.  I  decided to switch to regular flex in my two hybrids and haven't been disappointed.  My swing speed is around 98 if that helps, so I'm probably in between on using a regular or stiff flex shaft.

    Before you buy a new shaft, I suggest that you seek out a Titleist fitter in your area and have them fit you for the new shaft. They will have a selection of shafts for you to hit in the club. It is better to be properly fit once than buy a bunch of different shafts and hope you get one that works. Good Luck!
