  1. After I did some testings I'm pretty convinced to get this new set of clubs, hoping it'll help me to "break 80":

    910D2 9,5 / 910Fd 13,5 / 910F 17 / 910H 21 / AP2 4-PW / Vokey Spin Milled 54.08 and 58.12

Anything a Titleist-Fan and Expert would consider "illogical" ? I have 2 doubts: Does make sense to have the Fd version mainly for teeing off (I use my 3 wood a lot of the tee !) and combine it with 910F for Fairway shots mainly ... or would you always recommend the same typ of wood avoid mixing up F and Fd ?

And secondly, since I wasn't able to test the 4 Iron, I feet that there might be to much distance between my 4 Iron and my 910H 21 degrees. Thinking of long par 3s I'm tempted to go for a 24 degree hibrid in order to close the gap between clubs.

    Thanks for your comments !!

On paper, your set looks nice to me!  Go with it.  When it's time to fine tune the gaps with the new clubs, I suspect your fitter can help you with numbers.  Or you can simply find a quiet day on the course with a laser and test yourself.  You my find loft adjustments necessary... but that's the beauty of the 910.

If you love that Three Wood off the tee, by all means go FD.  The 17 hybrid should be more than adequate for longer shots into Par 4s/5s if you hit the FD too low off the deck.

  3. I'm with Ryan on this one. That'd be a great set! Especially if you get everything custom fitted. If you're on that fine line of breaking 80...if you get that set (or whichever clubs your fitter fits you with), properly fitted...I'd almost guarantee that you'd be shooting in the 70's.

    sounds great

I've got AP2 irons and a set of wedges 52 and 58 is perfect

If you take a 54 and a 58, you 're going to have a gap between PW and 54°

    Just my opinion

Hey brother sounds like a good set. I agree with what RC is saying. I wouldnt worrie about the 24 degree. Hybrid yet. And I think the FD and F combo will work out just fine besides the four wood is the new three wood. Besides in my experience if your a full three wood out from the green you might score better with a lay up and attack with your third shot. Sounds like a good one Cheers, greens and fairways
  6. I would drop the 910f 17 and put in a 50 degree wedge. Then a sand wedge at 55 or 56, and a 60 degree wedge. I believe the PW is 46 degrees, and if you get the 54 degree, you have 8 degrees of gap. Having a great 50 degree for those shots between the PW and SW sure is handy, and it will help you score better, and I believe you will use it more often than the 917F 17. The 910f 17 can be substituted by choking up on your 3 wood pretty easily. Plus, unless you have a really high swing speed, you may find the 17 degree doesnt fly high/ lift high enough to stop on the green reliably. I had that problem with a 17, and opted for a 19 only, and I have pretty decent swing speed (155 yard 8 iron type speed).

    Good luck
