  1. I reshafted my 910f and D3 today with aldila nv stiff shafts. I chose these over the v2s because of the price. Good decision??

You may have been happier with the V2 shaft. I've only hit the V2s on demo clubs but they felt OK.I had a Cobra driver and 975F fairway woods with Proforce ATR stiff and they actually felt like hitting regular. I've had a couple 983K drivers with Aldila NV and returned them to the store just about right away. Happiness is a stock shaft. I also briefly played with a BH 0 bybrid with an NV shaft (this is a 14* hybrid). Although I could hit the club, my good ole 7 wood was blowing it away for distance.
  3. just picked em up i gotta say they feel alot better than i expected and night and day over the stock shafts.

As far as irons, a good ole DG R300 works well. I had some fairway woods (Trimetal) with the Aldila Chrome shaft and they felt pretty well. Grafalloy Pro Lauch Blue has a good feel but the only issue is they have a high trajectory.

Shafts are bit smiliar I've had both and personally I prefer the V2 over the NV  because of the lower trajectory and the bit smoother feel on pure shots :)

    Both shafts are great

I've got the red S-flex NV shaft (X-speed) in my Hyper Steel 3+ Wood, and the green NV shaft (F-Speed) in my Hyper Steel 5Wood. At times, I could smash my 3+ Wood, but the shaft and lower loft had me off the fairway more often than what was acceptable. It actually made me hate hitting my 3+ Wood. The Green shaft on the other hand... Pure gold, and my most favorite club in the bag. My driver swing is 105-110, but even if I really go after it with my 5 Wood, I still hit it pretty straight.

I started searching for another green NV shaft for my 3+ Wood (13* loft?) to try and be able to get it off the ground, but came across the orange NVS in a used club shop in a 3 Wood. I did a quick online search of NVS reviews on my Blackberry while in the shop and found that it's kick-point would help get my 3+ Wood off the ground, even more so than the green NV shaft. Intending to just pull the shaft and put it in my 3+ wood, I bought the club. At the next practice session I hit the 3+ wood with the original red X-Speed shaft, and the other 3 wood with the new NVS shaft (both S-flex) just to make sure a head swap would produce a usable club before I spend money on the swap. The NVS in the other club matched me perfectly. So well in fact that I decided to not even bother putting the NVS in the 3+ wood head, as doing so would lower my ball flight more than I wanted.

So, that was a long winded "I love the NV and NVS shafts."

Stable, but buttery soft. I just want to lick it after every shot :P
