  1. I am slightly confused by the settings on the sure fit mechanism. I have it set currently on the standard lie and loft, A1 to be exact. I don't like this setting. I am hitting drives to the right, from a slight fade to even some ugly slices. I have never had an issue hitting the driver before and this club is too nice to give up on just yet. What setting would help me? In essence, I want to close the face of the club, since A1 has me hitting it right with moderate spin at times.

I put the setting on C2 to change the loft of the club (9.5) to 8.75, to promote a more closed face to reduce hitting it right. Well, C2 made me hit the ball even further right with more spin, even some slices. From what I have been reading, I may be adjusting the club completely opposite of what I want to do. So I ask you, please help me. My driver is the only club in my bag that keeps me at a 10 handicap, and with this going on I have shot over 90 a few times this month.

In a nutshell, I traded my rocketballz driver for this 910D3, 9.5*

Had it on A1 - hit it right, some fades all the way to some slices

changes to C2  - Even worse fading, increased spin and more slicing.

I believe I need to close this face as soon as possible, what setting do you all suggest?

    thanks for the help,

    Rob

Hi Rob,  Try A2 (if you are RH).  If that doesn't help with moving the ball straighter, go to D3.  You can also give us a call at 1-888-TITLEIST (888-848-5347) and we can walk you through the settings.

The move to C2, while adjusting lie to more draw, moved the effective club face from 0.5 degrees open (standard) to 1.5 degrees open.  Looking at the chart, moving up one row (like A2 to D3) increases loft but also moves the club face to 0.5 degrees closed.  So if you like to tinker more than calling, play with all 4 settings left and/or up from A1. The top row will put the driver 1.5 degrees closed and add 1.5 degrees more loft (D3 and that row will also add 0.75 degrees of loft as well as close the face).

So anything left and/or up from A1 will be an improvement over C2.  Have fun!
