Love my 913H 17*!!!! I play that club anywhere from 200 to 240 depending on conditions.

Last week in the same round I played it uphill 205 to the flag and on a long par 3 I played it to 239.....

It's the best Hybrid I have ever played...so many ways to play the club.

Love my 910 F as well....I don't play it off the tee much...but it's spot on in the fairway and light rough.

You should consider the 913H 17*....it is a real Gem!!!!!

George; I don't carry any Hybrids, but I had the same problem with my 3 wood, so I got a 17* 4 wood, and it is now my go to club. It's great off the "T" and I can also get it up in the air with great distance of the ground. You wouldn't think that only 2* loft would make that much difference, but it does. I'm an old gezzer and don't great distance anymore so I'm hitting my driver 210-220 and my 4 wood off the "T" is about 200 and 185-190 off the ground. My next go to club for distance is a 22* 7 wood with 170-180 off the turf. I'm getting good distance with the higher lofted fairway woods, and they're a lot easier for me to hit than Hybrids are. Check out a 4 & 7 wood. I think you'll like'em.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I had a 910F 17* but found the 910H 19* to give me similar length, but more versatility.  I have had a 7 wood in the past, actually, while it's not in my bag, it's the only club from my previous setup that I've kept - 7 woods deserve more respect.

Funny how you say FW are easier for you than hybrids; I thought the same thing two years ago, but with the performance I'm getting from my 19* & 21* 910H series has been more consistent than I've ever been with a 5 and 7 wood.

I haven't played a fairway wood for a number of years.  My 17 hybrid maxes out around 245 but is so much more versatile that a fairway wood.  They are easy to hit out of the rough and fairway traps and usually have higher ball flight into greens.  It also forces my into better course management decisions in deciding to go for it on par 5.  If I can't reach it with a smooth hybrid, then I shouldn't be going for it at all.  Helps me out with the old saying, "if you're going to lay up, then lay up".  I have gone from a 4 handicap to a 1 since making this move.

I like my 910F 15*, but it doesn't always like me.  Off the tee, it's solid.  But from the fairway, I give myself a one in three chance of hitting it well and on-line.  My misses tend to be either fat, or a push fade.  I do find best success when I choke down on the club a bit.  If I hit it well, I'm maybe in the 230 range. My 910H 19* has become my go to club, both off the tee on tight par 4's and for pretty much any 200+ yard fairway shot that doesn't afford me much room for error on the right side.  While it maxes out around 210-215, I've found it to be a great club. Given my success with the 910H (I also have a 21* set to 22.5*), I've been thinking about going for a 17* 910H/913H.  My only other experience with a low lofted hybrid was the TM Rescue Mid 16*, and I found I just didn't have the swing speed to get the most out of it.  My driver SS is 95-100.  I wish I had a Titleist fitter nearby, because it could be as simple as a better fit in my 3W shaft. Anyone else out there play all hybrids instead of fairway woods?

Options include -

Choking down - cheaper than buying/cutting the shaft down to the length of the 17FW. 

Adjusting the head a little more closed and a little more lie (D1 to C3 for example). 

Where do you set up relative to the ball?  Mid-stance or a little behind the ball?  Are you over-swinging trying to get the same distance off the deck as off the tee?

In my case, I was between R and A flex, so to use the A-flex to get a little more height worked.  All of these helped me to finally hit a 3W (in my case set to 16.5 degree, not just 15.75) off the deck.   In my case I trialed and errored various combinations of 15/17/19 FW or Hybrids on my own.  My AFC fitter spent about 45 minutes and got me what I needed off the deck.  The objective wasn't a 3W but something longer than my go-to 21 FW.

I play a 15 degree 913f, i only use if off the tee, i ditched my 3 hybrid and put in a 5 wood i get good distance out of it. I think the reason ypu would need a 3 wood is for off the tee.
