I have been playing my AP1 712 irons for 3 years…stiff steel shafts….I've noticed the past few months that my left elbow and left hip have been very sore after a round…thinking about making the change to graphite shafts…I'm 58 and average 8-10 rounds a month….anyone had this type of experience resulting in a shaft change? Will stay with the AP1 but move up to the 714.

Just bought AP 1 with stiff graphite ,  they go higher but are very inconstant in dispersion and how I load the shaft.

They are easier on the body.  But I have some regular flex KBS tour which are lightweight that feel great, but are very accurate .

Try the KBS tour or the new V tour 1st:)

Thanks Scott…..I think the stiff steel shafts are getting to me…I'm playing more golf these days and I can tell something is not right...

    Marvin,

You may want to try the new Recoil shafts. They provide a similar feel to steel shafts but have the benefits of graphite. You can even get them at 125grams.
