Whatever the distance gap is between the 5I and the 3H will be easier to adjust by choking down on the 3H than trying to fill a gap between the 4H and your next fairway wood. Depending on your gap needs, adjusting the 21 to 22.5 degrees can also be helpful. If need be, you can keep the 4I in the bag and you have a useable 3H. Using a 4H and keeping a 3I in the bag probably won't work near as well. You won't be getting the 3H if you could hit the 3I.
