  1. I bought the 913 D2 driver last year and am considering to add a 915F and H to my set this year. I love the Diamana blue S+ 62 shaft. I hadn't paid attention before, but why would the same Diamana blue shaft in the driver be lighter than the 915F and 915H (72 gm)? Thank you.
  2. William, good question.  Generally, many better players prefer a slightly heavier swingweight for their fairway metals and hybrids compared to the driver.  Also, these clubs should be slightly heavier to allow the swingweight (feel) of the club to be comfortable for many players compared to traditional standards a slightly heavier shaft will promote a smoother swing and better feel.

Now having said this, there are a lot of players, myself included, after fittings at professional tour locations such as TPI Oceanside (Titleist's Tour Fitting Facility in Oceanside CA) where my driver and three metal have the SAME shaft just tipped differently.  An adjustment to the head weight makes up for the shaft being the same weight.  However, I prefer my hybrids to have a similar and heavier swingweight to my irons and thus the shaft is almost 30 grams heavier.  This seems to be constant among many better players as you may know.

Thus, at the end of the day, pick out something that works for your game and swing...the traditional way is to have a slightly heavier shaft weight and possible swing weight for metal woods and hybrids.

    Good Luck!

    Chris

  3. Thanks Chris, I really like the Diamana shaft, may be I'll go our club's demo day and try out the combinations as you suggested.

    William.
