I'm a 13 handicapper and have had ap1's for a little over a year now, and am noticing the 4 and 5 carry distances are incredibly similar, does anyone else have this problem? Would it be a good idea to replace the 4 with a hybrid?

  2. Yes I think a 4h will be the way to go. Maybe even a 4 driving iron. I use a 712u 4 iron and I like it more than a 4 hybrid because I love the variety of ball flights compared to a hybrid. I am 9 handicap with about a driver swing speed of about 80. But I am confident with that club and it isn't very forgiving. I would go hybrid if you want to go the more forgiving route. Try the 4H, but check your lofts.  I got fit for the AP1s and 915Hs and Titleist adjusted the AP1s 1* weaker to account for the hybrids lofts.

I'm a mid-handicapper like you and we need all the help we can get.

    Good luck.
