Just upgraded my entire bag with 915 woods, 816 Hybrid and 716 AP1's.

Love how they all feel, but seeing a gap issue between my strongest iron (#5 @ 25*) and my Hybrid @ 21*.  They both fly quite high, but seeing on average a 20-25 yard distance gap.  Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience or not.  Right now flying my 5 iron approx 180-185, and my hybrid in the 205-210 range.  I know I can adjust the hybrid loft, which I will probably do.  Just wanted to see if anyone else is seeing a similar effect.

    Thanks!

That is about 5 yards per degree....seems normal to me, but I am not an expert...my five iron is set at (714 AP2S) 26* and my irons are gaped at 3* except in the wedges and they are 4*.  I am playing my 713h 24* at 23.5, 816H1 19 @ 20.0* and a 915H2 18* @ 17.25*......you are a bit longer than I am.....but I love those Titleist hybrids.....all of us are not the same...it is just a matter of what works and what feels comfortable for the conditions.  Give it a try at 23 and see how you like it......

Hey Chuck, was wondering how you like playing the 19* set at 20*. I think it is a longer shaft than the 19* 913H I am presently gaming.

I am torn as to whether to go with a 19* or 21* H1 to replace my 913H. It was designated as a 3H, but now the new 21* 816  is called a 3H and the 19 is a 2H. That would suggest the shaft on the 816 21 is the same length as the 19* 913 and the 19* 816 is a half inch longer. So you are playing your 19* set to 20* as opposed to a 21* set at 20* using an 816 21* set stronger to 20*. My thinking is that the 21* length shaft might be a little easier to make center contact than the longer 19* length shaft. My concern is that there might be a difference in distance if they are both set at 20*. Ideally I would like a few more yards out of that club slot.

Does anyone else have an opinion on 816H 21* versus 19*, both set at 20*? IMO if both are hit dead nuts, the 19 set to 20 should garner more distance than the 21 set to 20, simply due to more clubhead speed through the ball with a longer shaft. But, how MUCH more distance is the question?

FYI, my next hybrid in line is an 816H2 23*.

I'm about 5-10 yards further with a 21 915F versus a 21 915H. Besides the head shape, the fairway shaft is longer Should be comparable to the shaft length differences between the 21 and 19 hybrids. For the 20-25 yard gap, depending on what distances you need to cover, you can try to see if a 23 can fit between the 25I and the 21->20.25 hybrid. If you need to fill the 190-195 gap. What would you use for >200 if you set the 21 to 22.5 and it was only 190-195.

I am not a long hitter of the ball at 69.  I hit that club around 185 consistently and am happy with it.  I like the high flight and how it sets on the green.   I go practice with my hybrids and the setting and if they hit my targets, then I am happy and throw them in the bag.  I actually have four hybrids, but only carry three (actually lofts:  913h 17*,  915h2 18*, 816H1 19*, 913h 24*).
