I have a set of 690 CB irons that I absolutely love to death. I've tried other sets but nothing works better than these irons for me. Several clubs have wear on the face due to use and I'd like to get them re-chromed. Any recommendations on the best approach to getting these re-chromed by a high quality, reliable supplier? Thanks much!

  2. The Iron Factory, Grande Junction Co. owned and operated by an old hand in the business by the name of Jim. I had an old Hogan Special sand wedge and sent it to Jim...came back like new. My recollection is it cost about $60 plus freight. He has a website so look it up.

    Houston,

I have good luck with tiger-nick golf and the iron factory. I have had 690's and some mp-32's redone by them. I believe any local re-chroming shop in your town will be able to do this as well.

    Best of luck,

Golfsmith does great work as well. Go to their website and all the information including, pricing, prep, etc. should be in the Clubmaker's catalog.

You should look at the 716 CB irons. As someone that has played every iteration of Titleist club, including the 690, I can tell you that the new CBs outperform the 690 in every way.

One of the drawback to the re-chrome will be that the grooves will not be as deep as they once were.
