    Hi

I have always thought of Titleist fairway woods are primarily for players who have high swing speed. This for me would mean for players over 100 mph, is this true?? I have looked in detail at the new F2 917 fairway woods and they look awesome! They even have a shallow faces which I think means that they are easier to hit then usual titleist woods that were made in the past as the shallow faces are most often easier for players around 90 mph to hit. Please provide your feedback as I would like to hear what you say! I love the look and want to get them but I am very concerned o who exactly these woods were designed for. C*n slower swing speed players use these woods properly and will they benefit from them.

    Thanks

Your thought is not true. The shaft is the key component here. If properly fitted, you and a Tour player will use the same clubhead with completely different shafts. Titleist fitters do this all the time for all players from beginners to the players on all of the professional Tours.

I just ordered a 917f3. Love the small face which kinda reminds of a hybrid, which I love. First hit it on the trackman with a Aldila Rogue Black Max 75 S and then tested it again on the range at the Pinehurst event and ordered it while I was there. Like the pop, height and direction. Hope to see it around the 21st. My club head speed is around 93pmh and am 70 years old.

    Wayne,

19hole is correct. The head of a driver, wood and hybrid is built for every type of player with possible minor adjustments in loft. The shaft is difference maker. A proper fitting will help you determine what type of shaft you need(Extra Stiff, Stiff, Regular, Flex, etc.). Hope this helps. Go get fitting or at the very least do some research on what type of shaft best suits you.

After reviewing the shaft options I kinda like the specs and details of the red basarra shaft from Mitsibushi. Can anybody out advise on this shaft as far as playabilty? Say the 55 gram version in either the regular or seniors fkex. I like shafts with softer tip section is this shaft like this? Please post your comments. Thanks!!

I have the Bassara 55 S in my 913D3. It loads and releases very smoothly and has a nice kick.
