  1. Hi there,

I recently purchased a 915D2 driver w/ Diamana S+ Blue 60 stiff shaft after trying it out and hitting quite well with it.

Now I was looking at woods and was wondering what thoughts people here have on the stiffness. Currently looking at the 915f fairway wood w/ diamana s+ blue 70 shaft.

I have read online some mixed thoughts on the stiffness of the wood. Of course it comes down to each individual golfer but do i benefit at all going with a regular flex shaft in the wood since my swing speed won't be as fast?

My driver swing speed is generally 100-105 but I never find myself coming down as hard on my wood so it had me thinking.

    Any thoughts?

Your best bet is to go get fit, that's the truest way to find which shaft works best for you.

My personal experience is to use a stiffer shaft in my 3 wood versus my driver. I like to hit a lower more controlled shot with my fairway so the stiffer shaft has worked for me as I normally only hit my 3 wood from the tee, I rarely use it from off the deck.

I think if your stiff with the driver you will be stiff with every other club. Everyone's swing speeds are less as you progress through the set and this is taken into account in each shaft so a 7 iron will never be as stiff as a driver etc. Hope this helps
  4. I Always go with a heavier shaft in fairway woods compared to your driver. I go 70 in driver and 80 in fairway and I actually go 90 in my hybrid works great.

best bet is to get fit and see what you like. for the longest time i was playing stiff based on what i thought fit my game right. i went to a fitter and actually need x-stiff. changed up my irons and woods and hitting it a lot straighter and better ball flight. really opens things up when you go to a fitter and get it done properly.
