It has been a while since I have had paint fill on my irons, but when I had it done I used Acrylic paint from an art/hobby store. I have had no problems based on the brand or type of Acrylic paint used.

I like to apply with paint pens, or the $1 store and finger nail polish with its own brush. Frugal.

Any outdoor acrylics will work from a local craft store...Bit my favorite is glass paint. It is iridescent and if done carefully can look super cool

as the others mentioned, acrylic is the easiest. grab any color you'd like from a craft store and have fun with it.

the best i have come across is the car paint touch up pens you can buy. Google 'dupli-color'. they come in every color you'd need plus the pen makes them very easy to use!

Acrylic paint is great and last well on your clubs.

Arcrylics were great! I actually know some people who have even used nail polish and they swear by it!

I have had good success with Tremclad semi-gloss black. Can get it at any hardware store, Home Depot, Lowes etc..

I've used fingernail polish. Do first coat, wait about 10 minutes, clean with nail polish remover using a paper towel folded into like a 4" square. Used quick light strokes so you don't take out the polish in the letters or numbers. Then do another coat and clean. It's actually very durable if you get some decent polish (can you say, pissed off wife?!) and there is a bazillion colors to chose from. Also, if you don't like it, remove with polish remover and try another color. So I got that going for me...which is nice.

I've always just used Testers enamel, like you would use for models. Has worked great for me and is really inexpensive.

I have used the testers enamel on chrome and achilyc paint on my raw wedges. All seem to hold up good.

I've always just used Testers enamel. I have painted my wedges and older putters.

I use the Japanese paint pens, very easy to use, and holds up well
