  1. How do you guys prefer to clean your clubs at the end of the round? I'm more picky about keeping my AP2s clean.

I've tried a number of different gadgets, but for me a wet towel is best. I carry an Amino Vital towel when I play with one end soaked with water; so my clubs stay pretty clean throughout the round.

If your irons are caked with mud, I've had good results with the Club Tub cleaner. Not sure they still make it, but comparable options are available.

Similarly, a simple bucket of warm soapy water and a plastic bristle brush will work well.
  3. After every round and range session I take a toothbrush and towel to my clubs....just water no soap. On course, a damp towel or quick brush...both if there's not a group behind. My clubs never sit overnight dirty. I spent a considerable amount of money in my gear so I take great care (borderline OCD).
  4. I just use water and a towel...nothing fancy! Same at the range...

Basically, wetting a towel that I keep on my bag.

I like to dip my irons in warm water with a little bit of dish washing liquid. If they are bad I let them soak (not past the hosel). Then I brush the grooves with a brush and rinse with water and towel dry them. Give the grips a wipe too. Nothing fancy.

I do a quick in and out dunk into a bucket of water with Dawn dishwashing soap. I then use a soft bristle brush to clean the faces, grooves and soles of all clubs. (Never use any sort of metal brush, particularly on forged irons.) Then a quick rinse/dunk to remove all the loosened residue, and wipe them dry with a towel. I do this after every round and practice session.

Never let clubs sit in a bucket of water. The epoxies used between head and shaft can be compromised quickly if soaking in water.

I also scrub my grips with water and Dawn or Simple Green and a soft bristle brush every 7 or 8 rounds and change them out a few times a year.

I enjoy the process of cleaning my clubs after every round, usually sitting outside in my yard, watching the sun set over the mountain. Just me, my precious Titleists and my loving Golden Lab lying by my side. A great end to another wonderful golf day.

Jeremy, I drink water with fresh lemon squeezed in it when I play. When I'm done, I take whatever is left in my cooler and pour it on a soft towel and clean all my clubs and grips with this water with a trace of lemon in it. Works great!

...At night in the kitchen with warm water and a wife yelling at me to get those dirty clubs out of the white sink

I wet one end of the towel & have the other end dry to use in between shots throughout the round. I also have a small soft bristle brush to clean the grooves.
I wait until I get home, at least once a week, for a more in depth cleaning with warm soap & water.
They are an investment that I try & keep pristine all the time. :)

Warm water, toothbrush, over the kitchen sink. My wife loves when I do that! After every round and range session. I keep my clubs a lot cleaner than my car!

People with dirty clubs drive me crazy. How do they expect to make crisp contact if the clubface is covered with crud? I wipe mine with a damp towel after the shot and they get cleaned with a wet rag after the round.

At home after a round I use a soft brush, warm water with a little bit of dish soap. At the range they have a bucket with water in it, so I use it with my soft brush & my Titleist towel
  13. I normally clean my AP2 with thootbrush some hot water and soap. The other day i washed my car and thougt, why not.. =) The result was great! the "wax effect" really make the clubs look amazing.

  14. Mine get any loose dirt and grass wiped off after each shot, then a good cleaning as soon as possible when I get home. I too use the kitchen sink and a drop or two of mild dish detergent. However, I only put a couple of inches of water in, so as not to get the ferrules submerged. I also get the eye roll form the wife, as I don't like doing dishes, but will spend plenty of time keeping my Titleists looking sharp.
  15. I have a set of T300 and clean my irons after every round. I just use warm water and dishwashing detergent and medium brush to remove grit, dirt and sand. I then give them a rinse and wipe them down with a dry towel. Can’t wait to use them again for my next round.

After the round, toothbrush, wet towel. Wipe the grips down as well, leave them to dry before putting back in bag. During the round, wet towel.
