Hybrid match for 3 iron and 4 iron

  1. I am playing with the AP1 176 irons Along with the new t2 driver and 3 / fairway woods and want to add a want to add hybrids to replace my 3 and 4 iron, what is the equivalent hybrid matches under the TS2 hybrids

    The iron lofts are 19/22 degrees. The hybrids are 19/21/23. You would need to trial and adjust the lofts to give yourself 10-15 yards from your 5 iron and then the same distance to the next hybrid. A guess would be 19 H2 and a 21 H2 set to 22 degrees as a starting point. With longer shafts the 23 may already be 10-15 yards longer than the 25 degree 5 iron.

    I play T300 5-W53 and carry the 818h 21 set at 21.75......perfect for me.....am 74 and do not hit them as far as I use to......7 (155-160) 6 (165-170) 5 (175-180) hybrid 21* (185-190) 816h hybrid 18* (195-205) 15 fairway (215-220) 11.25 Driver (225-240). That was before my surgery......see what happens after my PT.....me I went to a fitting to get dialed in on all these clubs and the right shafts....I play Fujikura Speeder shafts......

    I have the older 818 hybrid model, and not sure the following statement is true for the TS hybrid, but the H2 has a smaller head in the 818 series than the H1. The H2 is for someone who likes the look of an iron as opposed to a fairway wood. Also, the H2 is better suited to a player who has a steep angle of attack.
