    Hi guys,

I have just started playing golf for a couple of months. Have been getting pretty decent scores at an average of mid 90s. Not the best, but considering that i have been playing only for 3-4months. I'm looking to get AP2 for better enhancement of my game. However, i have tried the stock DG shaft and the pro shop guy said that my iron swing speed (~85mph) suits a regular shaft better. Hence, i went ahead to purchase a set of AP2 with DG High Launch in regular flex. (Like the feel of this shaft and pretty much similar weight to my AP1s)

The question i have, is having AP2s which are a tad higher loft than AP1s and fitted with DG HL, does that mean i will lose some yardage?

On average, im hitting #7-150yds, #8-140yds with my AP1s on Nippon 105T shafts(Regular).

It appears to me that the AP2's are made for a slightly(emphasis on slightly) steeper angle of attack into the ball, which means the clubhead would be slightly hooded, which reduces the loft at impact.

According to True Temper the bend point of the shaft has minimal effect, the loft of the club has major effect.

Its my guess that if you swing the AP2 exactly the same as you swing the AP1 you will get a slightly(emphasis on slightly) higher ball flight.

Appreciate your reply... I'll take note of that.

Though clubs have not arrive, i will definitely post my feedback here once i get to use them.

    Cheers!
