I wanna know since tiger mania golf has gone up.But in todays golf world we buy a club lets say a driver we fall in love with it and 6 mos. later they come out with almost the same and they say you get 8-10 yards more.I understand the business but how You far can we go I mean balls ,cubs ,bags etc.when does it stop. Right now I have all TITLEIST in my bag and I love them and I do not think I could add more yards but you always say What if and then when you do make a move it costs another 1000.00 and more can you see what I am saying.  PS-Just a thought(Ha!Ha!Ha!)

I hear you loud and clear. Its like once we buy something we like and a few months later theres a new product out that they say is better than the last and it costs even more to get it.To me it just seems a like a big marketing thing and that they are trying to get the general consumer to buy their product. For the real good player we need remember that golf is still played on that space between the ears no matter how much more yardage we can get it won't help us play any better if we can't keep our head in the game.I know myself im finally learning that but we also have to have fun too.Id love to see companys not push equipment out so fast especially after they just released something. At least with Titleist i haven't seen them come out with a driver then oo we have another idea lets put that out there too. They at least wait a good year or two before they entice again to buy something new.But its always interesting to see where technology can go with golf.

We'll George welcome to marketing in a world of limitations. Remember when they put limits on driver size. now there going to diffrent ways to make clubs with fusing diffrent materials to make diffrent affects. one thing i've learned being and equipment junkie is that the reality is you dont gain that much from year to year maybe if you had something from 2006 and now yes you will gain yards. but heres the dirt they don't tell you. A well fitted driver will last you about 4 to 5 years given there isnt some abnormal advancement in technology. I hit a 2007 R7 TP just as far as the R9 TP. why becouse i took the time to get fit for those clubs and bsed on optimal spin and launch angle basicaly my results are the same. Here's my advice if you doing good with what you have don't change it. the old saying of if its not broken dont fix it applies. Now then i am going to buy the new 910 but thats becouse i want to go to an all Titleist bag and i do like the feel and look of the new 910. Will i gain distance. probably not. once you break 300 yards on avreage off the tee your not going to improve threw new clubs unless your buying a driver made specificly for distance. but when you do that you usualy sacrafice consistance and accuracy. the 910 gained distance on miss hits not perfect ones. witch lets face it we all dont hit perfect center club face drives every time. So will you pick up more distance yea alittle.  So in short its all about marketing. and getting people to buy new stuff couse its new. But look at it like this at least Titleist is a consistant company. they dont make new drivers every year. or irons, or balls. they give every club its average 2 year life cycle before bringing out something new.  This maximizes product exposure and profite. Also gives them time to perfect the technology of its next product before relese.

Great example is the new 910. so Taylormade started with movible weights. awsome thing it good off and mizuno fallowed up. taylor made got great results. then people wanted to be there own club fitter rather than paying a profesional to do it for them. so they made adjustable weights and face angles with the R9 Nike made the stra8 fit to comepete. People like the thought of changing these things based on weather conditions. Or atleast they think its a great idea. Titleist 2 years after the club customization craze took off designed the 910. look in to the down and dirty and you'll see that off all Adjusable head the 910 line is far seprior in the idea of changing lie angle and face. dit it with hiding the technology and if you have ever had a driver bent before they did it the same way. in the hosel. not the shaft or inside the head. just like doing it with a traditional head they made a flexible hozel. Kudos to them.

Me peronaly i wish they made a standard hozel 910 were i could get fit like the 909 line and stick with it. I bet most 910 members with play with the adjustments for a summer and find out that only one setting really works for them and will stick with it. I know once i get fit with a loft lie and shaft flex i'll never mess with it from there.

    Hey George

My bag is pretty close to set.

If I could find a 906f2 18*, I would switch out my 904f. I just can't hit a fade off the ground with the 904f, but have no problem with my 906f2 13*.

I can't see changing out my driver, 3 wood, irons, wedge, or putter.

You just have to stop when you find the right technology for you.
