    Does anyone know anything about "Japan only" Titleist forgings?

    Like the Titleist DCI Tour Blades or the Titleist 591 irons?

    so far the info i have gotten from the web is very sparse.

    DCI tour blades were forged by Endo japan and had a limited run in the mid 1990's at a premium price; also i believe they where used by Davis love for awhile. The Titleist 591 were forged by Miura Japan and again had a limited run in the 1990's and the price was at a premium. Can anyone verify this info or provided more info on the irons?

    DCI Tour Blades

    Material: carbon steel / cast

    Year: 1997-1999 (steel shaft from 1998)

    Graphite shaft - 10 irons set: 3-9, P, W, S option #2

    Steel shaft - 10 iron set: 3-9, P, W, S option #2

    Finish was different for graphite shaft and steel shaft.

    Grahite= Gold pearl,  Steel= Nickel chrome mirror

    591 irons

    Vendor: Miura

    Material carbon steel / forged

    Year: 1999-2001

    Graphite shaft  - 8 iron set: 3-9, P option #2, W, SW

    Rifle Steel shaft - 8 iron set: 3-9, P, option #2, W, SW

    Dynamic Gold Steel shaft - 8 iron set: 3-9, P, option #2, W, SW

    Finish was different for graphite shaft and steel shaft.

    Graphite= Nickel Chrome Satin,   Steel= Double Nickel Satin

    Recently I bought Titelist Forged 591 from #2 to #S total 11 irons. They used and great condition. It is just amazing and very rare to find 11 irons together for such a lovely ones. Cheer's! Deo

    Does anybody know what's the closest recent Titleist iron sets compare to 591?

    How about the 'forged' feel? Read from the internet that the forging technique was not the 'first class'.

    I just picked up a set of 591 they look cool just to cold here in Indiana to hot them. What's your feedback on them
