I am currently toying with the fact of reshafting my 755s.

Would this be worth the money. I am a 14 handicap but I anticipate being around 10 by summer time. I hit the irons a little to high and they seem heavy.

    is it worth it?

I would say that it depends upon the grooves.  If they are still sharp, I would say to go ahead and customize the shafts.  If they are showing wear, it would probably be best to go with a newer set.  Shafts can be quite expensive - even if you are doing the work yourself.  Bottom line, you obviously like the clubs, but don't waste your money.  Look at the grooves and see how many more years you have with them, and then decide whether investing in the shafts makes sense.

I agree with Todd, especially if you are looking to get to a 10 this summer.  I would take a look at the AP1's and AP2's.  Get fitted for them and order with the correct shafts and I think you will find your handicap dropping like a lead balloon!!!

I would recommend trying the current AP1 & AP2 irons before deciding to reshaft your 755's.  I think you will benefit from the technology of these irons and will also be able to order them with the shaft that you like and fits your swing.  I also recommend going to get fit for these irons by a Titleist Fitter so you get the right specs for your particular set.  Good Luck!

Ya i bought these last year...my first irons that i bought after my beginners set from the year before. So i dont anticipate on buying new ones since i dont have much money being a junior golfer. I looked into the ap2s but couldnt quite afford them. they are my ideal irons though. I hit them at a golf complex and they were smooth. But the price was rough. So i picked the 755s for about 250. The grooves are still very sharp. Im not too concerned with spin though in my irons. I like the ball to release 5-10 on my iron shots, but I like my wedges to come back 5-10 feet.

Anyway...me and my buddy were gonna reshaft them and spine them in his garage, we already have the materials but would new project x's really be that big of an improvement?Would they be worth the 100-200i would spend?

If the clubs are worth a bit under $200 let's say, and you throw in the 100-200 bucks for new shafts, they may be worth selling and combine the money on a nice Titleist upgrade.

I dont think I will sell them. I really like the heads. They feel good and are pretty forgiving. My only complaint is the shafts are just a little soft. Also I am not too crazy about the heads in the 9i and PW but that problem will be solved soon since I will just take my friends 695cb short irons.
