  1. I recently bought an 818 H1 Hybrid but I’m not sure if it is a 3 hybrid or a 4 hybrid. It is a 21 degree loft. But I know that the H2 has that loft as well. Is the H1 the 3 hybrid and the H2 the 4 hybrid or do both versions have both a 3 and 4. How do I tell?

Their 818 H1 is a forgiving Hybrid and the 818 H2 (Smaller head) is a players Hybrid. They both offer the same lofts
  3. So they don’t do a 3 and 4 then? Just one is more forgiving than the other?

The thing I like about the 818 is the adjustment on those is 1*. I love mine, have it set at 23*. Titleist hybrids are not numbered as 3 or 4, but by degrees and are adjustable and you know what numbers you are getting.

As stated above, the H1 is supposed to be more like a fairway wood and the H2 is more like an iron. I play 816H1's in 19 and 23 degrees. The 19 replaced my 3 iron and the 23 replaced my 4. I recently switched to a 818H1 27 degree to replace my 5. I find them easier to hit and I get a better decent angle to hold the green.

The number designation is not relevant. As noted, the H1/H2 reflects the difference in what the player is looking for in performance.

With my slower swing speed, my 21 degree set to 22 TS hybrid fits as my 5 iron for distance gapping. My 23 818 H1 set to 25 degrees is my 6 iron replacement. It is all about gapping and not numbers. Especially with the degree of loft on irons from the T400 to the T100. How would a hybrid be numbered when a 5 iron can be 21 to 26 degrees?
  7. 21 would be a 4 hybrid (I have a TSi 21 and it says 4 right on it.) Though I'm not sure that actually matters, what matters is if it fills the gap you need. I carry a 4 iron and a 4 hybrid because I hit the 4 hybrid much further than the 4 iron, so that better fills the gap between 4 iron and 3w.
