Was the one player that has the same settings from driver thru hybrid a better player, avg player, hack? or  use any descriptive terms desired.

Good player, near a 6 handicap.  Driver ball speed around 150mph. 

About 6'1".  Good strong guy.

The big change for him was going from a driver with a 50 gram regular shaft, 10.5 degrees loft,  to a Voodoo 7 Stiff with the 910D3 8.5.  Took away about 1000rpms with good launch around 10.5!

Good info. I think some people get to hung up on matching shafts when a good fitting will tell you exactly what you need it takes the guessing game out of it.

I have been keeping track of all my fittings for the same information. Haven't found a large enough trend yet. I am certainly seeing more shaft change from driver - long game.  Probably because the fairways and hybrid are finally able to be tested with several shafts options. I will compile it and post it here when I have more info.

-I am playing different shafts from Driver (DI7X) to fairway (Kai'li 80X) and hybrid (ahina 90H X).

-However, I am playing the same hosel setting (B1).

1)  Does your Fairway and Hybrid have the same shaft brand as your driver?

Yes all Matrix shafts in my driver, 3 wood and hybrid but they aren't the same shafts HD6 in the driver, HD8 in the fairway and hM2 LT in the hybrid. 

2)  Does your Fairway and Hybrid have same setting as your driver?

I haven't been able to play outdoors yet with the fairway or hybrid yet. But the driver after a few rounds and some range session I have settled on C1. As for the fairway and hybrid it looks like D1 is a winner so far. 

3)  During the fitting process...did you have a scenario that involved a tough decision between a fairway or hybrid?  If so...what was the #1 factor affecting your choice? 

Not really I have played this type of set up for a few years and tried to put a 5 wood in a few times and kept going back to the hybrid. 

Very nice.  The shaft trifecta!  Keep on tracking and experimenting.  And poll the most serious players here at Team Titleist. 

Can't offer a complete answer yet but here are my finding so far.  Driver is 910D2 9.5 with Aldila RIP 60 stiff.  Best driver I have owned!  Started with it B3 with some swing changes made am now gaming it B2. This has been with me for about 10 rounds and is the longest straightest driver I have owned.

3 wood and rescue have only had fitting data and 1 range session with range balls. 910F 15 deg Aldila RIP 70 stiff set at A4 on fitting but I moved it over to A3 at the range I hate range balls so will see how it goes tomorrow for a few practice holes, then competition Saturday and also money game Monday.  I thought I was going to buy the 910F 17 deg because I had been using a 909F3 18deg with (titleist) Voodoo stiff and it knocked my 909f2 15.5 and my 909h 19 both with Titleist Diamana stiff shafts but was able to get decent launch and spin figures with the 15 deg and was advised that with some swing improvements the 15 deg was the better option.

I didn't want to go with a 19 deg rescue again and new I wanted a 3i replacement so the 21 deg was the best option for about 210 yards which it was on the monitor with the Diamana (Titleist) Kai'Li 80 hyb  stiff and that produced the number in the fitting set at A1 but again on the range I have moved it to A2.

Happy to hit either from the tee so that wasn't a factor in choosing, but yardages were.  A badly struck 15.5 909 for me was very similar to a pured 909h 19 deg another reason I went for the 21 deg 910H.

I will want to try the RIP hybrid shaft if for no other reason than vanity!

I will have some better data on Tuesday.

I went with the 'Ahina s in my 910d3 8.5° with a setting of left hand B4 which take loft and lie down .75° for me. LH chart is reversed. My 13.5 Degree FD has PX 8c4 and so far am hitting within ten yards of the driver at the std. D4 (A1 for RH) setting. My natural shot is a draw so I thought I would have had to adjust the lie .75° with the fd. No fade or draw, just straight. Funny how it I can work the ball both high and low very easily in this setting. I went with the 910F in 19° also with the PX. This club rocks in the A4 setting which is std. lie for me and takes the loft to 18.25°. Small head 5-wood. Looks very nice at address.

So I guess that lowering the lie tends to be more important to me in my 910d3 more then in the fairways. The club just becomes more workable.

Nope! which is unfortunate because I really like the feel of the Rip shafts.

No... Which is extremely confusing! I've been getting fit at places like Golf Galaxy & Golfsmith and I learning very quick that this may be a huge mistake. I need to get fitted by a Titleist Expert. Golf Galaxy & Golfsmith here in Long Island, New York are pretty good. This staff are very freindly but they are from from experts with any manufacture!!!

Is anyone as confused about the 910F & 910H settings as I am?

Yes. I'm deciding weather to go with the 17deg hybrid or the 3wood along with my 19deg.

Hopefully we can find you a fitter with the fairway RIP shaft.  It's not out yet for the hybrid. 

I'm sorry you have had some issues with Golf Galaxy and Golfsmith.  Maybe you should encourage them to learn here at Team Titleist!  ;)

So here's the best way to think about the different settings.  The irons in your bag are different lengths and lies...PW is probably near 64 lie and 6 iron should be near 62.   So naturally your hybrid and fairways may change as well.  The cool part is that most golfers have never had the opportunity to fix lie angles in their woods.  It gives teachers and fitters another opportunity to solve issues that may only be equipment related. "Set it and forget it!"

So...when in doubt buy them all!   Just kidding.  Keep in mind the best opportunity to lower your score is getting on the green.

In the process of fitting the hybrid and in the first go around, shaft brand and setting are looking to be the same as the initial setting for the FD at A1.  The A1 position fit me best in the simulator on the FD, but made a change to match the driver setting at B2 before playing the first round with it.  Big mistake on my behalf, but that's why they are adjustable. Switch back to the A1 and life is great. Handicapp in the 7's. ball speed with driver 154 - 155 consistantly.  Not sure to purchase the 17 degree or wait to see if they are going to release a 5 wood version for the 225 to 240 yd shot.

William: I haven't heard about another loft in the 910F series.  But you never know...they may read this post here and head over to production!

Is that 225-240 a tee shot? You may go for a hybrid that could potentially launch with less spin.

Ryan, The 225 to 240 is off the deck pending weather conditions.  Normally only carry for play in the cooler months and replace with a hybrid during late spring, summer and early fall months.  I like your idea about just replacing with the 910 hybrid and have been testing the 17 / 19 degree versions.  Leaning more towards the 17 degree and adjust loft as weather conditions change.  Someone had stated there is a 910F 19 degree of which I have not been able to try based on availability at our local distributor.  Thank you for the reply

2)  Does your Fairway and Hybrid have same setting as your driver? No, the fairway is A4 and the hybrid is D1. The driver is A1.

3)  During the fitting process...did you have a scenario that involved a tough decision between a fairway or hybrid?  If so...what was the #1 factor affecting your choice?  My choice was more the gaps in distances. The hybrid is a perfect gap fitter between my 3 wood and 4 iron.

Everyones mad that they did not receive an adjustment tool....just thought it was worth mentioning.

They didn't receive a tool with their driver?  Or fairways/hybrids?

A little help, what are the settings considered standard?

Then what settings do what?

Example: say B-3 is standard, B-2  B-4 would be, A-3 C-3 would be

Here we don't have a fitting place or a golf store, we can order new stuff thru our golf course, its an hour drive to Dicks in Lex. but since I came back in '93 I don't leave the county unless I have to(very rare) or to play golf(as often as I can 3,4,5 times a year).

So I just don't understand any of the settings.

Never mind, the fitting chart was posted and answered those questions.

N eed help with settings on all 910's.  I am short (5'7") so I may need a flatter lie but I want to hit a draw.  According to the chart, to hit a draw, I have to set the club more upright.  Obviously, I don't understand the settings on the diagram.  I live in the country so the nearest fitter is 100 miles away.  Any help will be much appreciated.  Sim

Standard setting(A-1) doesn't mean you will hit the ball straight, it just means this is the setting it would be if it wasn't adjustable. In fact with the standard setting you may be hooking and need it flatter. It depends on how you swing the club.

Another thing to consider is lie angle and shaft length go hand-n-hand. A shorter shaft may be the thing.

I'm in the same boat as you about having the availability of a fitter. It seems that Titleist standard fits me just fine. But I'm 5'10.5" avg build avg weight(pretty boring).

A flatter lie in the C-4 or B-4 settings may help achieve the ball flight.  The face is slightly closed in these positions.

The left hand side of the chart: A-3, D-3, A-2, D-2 are the maximum upright settings.  A-3 has the face slightly closed for a draw and D-2 has the face slightly open to balance the draw bias in the upright setting. 

There's no better way than to practice all positions.  Just be sure the screw is dialed in with very little friction until the last turn when it snaps to fit.
