  1. I was fitted for a TSR1 five wood about a year ago so I’m pretty sure I have the right shaft and set up. Thinking about getting a 7 wood and wonder if I should go ahead and purchase the new GT1 or should I stay with the TSR1 family (also have TSR1 driver and hybrids). Of course the TSR one is currently at a better price. Looking for an opinion as to if the newer technology is worth the price.

Now that the GT-1 line is out, you’ll need to check if you can still order a TSR-1 fairway. You might be limited to stock on hand at retailers. It was a great bargain - a month ago.
Is there a specific gap the 7W is to fill? Your results should vary from mine. But I only get full gapping from a 23 hybrid to 20 degree fairway with on center hits. The 18 degree fairway is only longer off of a tee (par 3’s) than the 20 degree fairway. These were fit off of mats - but not so sweet off of turf. I didn’t expect to keep the same distance off of turf, but expected the gapping to be maintained. …Sigh.
  3. Thanks for your reply. I can get the TSR1 20 or 23 degree from an authorized seller. Since I have an 18, 20 would not make sense. I am considering the 23 to replace the 23 hybrid I carry. Have been reluctant since the hybrid performs well from the rough but I have heard the fairway is good from the rough as well and I think it would be more consistent from the fairway, based on how I hit the 18 degree.
