I read on here a person complaining about no contrast on the 910, and that the white driver with a black face was better.
I haven't seen a 910 yet so I can't comment on it.
There was a white driver with a black face, used, for sale at the clubhouse, so naturally I picked it up to look.
I couldn't tell anything about the face in the address position, it was just a black sliver next to the white body.
A few days ago a guy traded his G15(which he said he loved) for it because he wanted an adjustable driver.
Yesterday we were about to tee off on our first hole, and this guy and another pulled up, so we let them play on.
He said he had just adjusted his driver and would probably hook it into the water, so I'm guessing he closed the face because he was hitting right. He got to address and moved back and forth apparently trying to line up, I was well off to the side so I couldn't tell where he was lined up, but his ball started at the water and came back to the fairway with decent distance for his age.
If that is what he was trying to do then all is good, but the way he was moving around I think he couldn't tell which way the face was pointing.
I guess it is part of my personal preference but I don't think a black face is a good idea. Of course, as I've mentioned before, I like to have a target on the face, I've considered putting a bullseye on my fairway and hybrids, don't know if it would be legal.
