Team Titleist is looking forward to a couple action-packed days in the Peach State at the Nationwide Tour's South Georgia Classic, where we're catching up with many of our Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists.

Also on the docket this week at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club: Some quality time with our Nationwide Tour Reps, who will be answering equipment questions submitted from members of Team Titleist.

This is a great opportunity to pick the brains of Titleist technical experts that spend each week helping the pros get dialed in to their Titleist golf balls and equipment.

The guys will try to get to as many questions as possible, so be sure to reply to this thread with your best question and check back later in the week to see if yours was picked.

    Thanks!

How often do you get fitted and change your equipment during the year?

What is your feedback on flighted irons?  I am trying to achieve a higher flight and longer carry for my 4-6 irons; is this the way to go? i just ordered a set of AP2 irons with project x flifghted shafts.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  4. I bought a 910 D3 after messing up my 905 due to cutting the length down and swing weight issues. I got fitted for the 910 D3 a couple times before I purchased it... I need a low spin but high launch in a shaft. The 910 with the adjustable loft is great. The stock shafts are very limiting and without trying out other shafts, it is difficult to guess which will work the best. I understand the Titleist Van has many of the custom shafts, I am interested in getting fit for the 910 H, 910 15 and 19 fairways. I would drive a ways to be fit if I had additional shafts to try out... How can I find out the locations/dates where I can do this? Thanks
  5. I found the schedule and locations for the fitting van... I am in Ohio so nothing close by.... I plan to call some of the advanced fitters as maybe they have more than the limited stock shafts that come with the standard fitting kit....

    Carl,

We can help find a great local fitter. In which part of Ohio do you live?

Being a tour rep, what do the players request you do for them the most? Would it be changing their grips, adjusting loft and lie on their irons or even reshafting a driver?

    Thanks,

    Tony C.

I have the 910 D2, FD and 19 with the stock titliest shaft.  After several rounds, hrs of practice finally have them dialed in.  Love the clubs, but have a couple of questions. I have noticed a significant difference in sound between the fairway woods and the driver, is that normal for the 910's?   Also, by changing the weights on the bottom of the club, how will it impact the flight of the ball? The last question is that where the face plate meets the crown, all 3 clubs are starting to chip away and was wondering if this was normal as well?

    Thank you,

    Bill

What did titleist do with all of the leftover "old groove" wedge heads that were never used? Is there a ton of non-cc heads that are brand new sitting unused somewhere?

    thanks

How often do the guys on tour replace or alter there wedges?
  12. I have a 983K, 8.5 degree loft with a YS6 stiff shaft with a crack in the face.  So I bought, on eBay, a used 983K, 8.5 degree loft with a different since none with the YS6 were advertised.  However, the head on this new club is definitely larger, with a deeper face and a more convex sole plate.  My question is did Titleist make different versions of the 983K, 8.5 loft head, or have I been sold a counterfeit product.

    Thank you for your reply,

David Estep, a loyal Titleist golfer.

    Hi guys,

At the Nationwide and other tour levels what is the factors that players use to decide between CB's and AP2 irons.  I assume forgiveness is not the #1 issue.

If you had to rank the top factors what would they be?

Feel, trajectory, spin, appearance, confidence, etc.

    Thanks in advance,

    Bryan
