The D3 is more for the above average player that is looking for lower spin.  The D3 is a smaller head and with the properly fitted shaft, you will get a lower trajectory.

  2. D2 usually for guys who prefer or need more initial launch angle.  D3 usually for guys who prefer or need a lower launch angle.  assuming you hit it too high (115 clubhead speed?) you should try the D3 with a low launch shaft like rip a 60 or devotion 7, or motore Speeder vc 7.1.  would heed to know a lot more info, but at least her is a starting point.--Steve

    I picked the D3 with Project X 7.0.

Swing speed is 119 and a 4 hndcp

Both are game changers!  The D3 launches slightly lower with slightly less spin.  Find a fitter at fittingworks.com and find your shaft and setting!

Thanks for all the info. Unfortunately no real good fitting areas around where I live. Just a private club that I'm not a member at. Had the same problem with my irons.

Looking forward to trying both of them out.

Does the private club not take non-member appointments? That is crazy if true. Let us know.

I called the club a little while back when I was getting new irons and they said I have to be referred by a member or accompanied by one. I'm relatively new to the area and didn't know anyone there. I haven't tried again. I ended up going to an Edwin Watts which didn't have all the equipment. Not the same experience.

That's a shame.  Nothing against Edwin Watts, but we always prefer an outdoor experience for a club and to turn away a potential member and sale isn't a best practice in my book!

BTW, I had a slight typo. I meant to put 105+ swing speed. Last time I was measured between 107-116 driver speed. Again, thanks for the all the info.

Just got my D3 8.5 with a Project X 7C3 73 g 6.0 Tip STiff set at C1 Club head speed 109 and I love it... Only one bad drive today and it was all me!!!

  11. I got launch monitor fit for my D3 and I hit the D2 which was nice too but looked offset to me and the 460 doesn't appeal to me. My CHS is 117 and I carry my drives 295 now. D3 is awesome.

I'm leaning towards the D3 (I prefer the smaller head myself). I appreciate all the information as I can't get on a monitor.

  13. I was fortunate and won the 910 D2 in a raffle drawing with our men"s golf club at the Spring dinner. I had the option of being fitted for either the D2 or D3. I went ahead and got fitted at our pro shop. I was definitely leaning towards the D3. My swing speed is 98. In the past I've used a 9.5 loft with all my drivers. I had been using a X Tour with a Fukijira shaft. To make a long story short after hitting numerous balls with the D2 and D3 along with various shafts I ended up with the D2 model with a 10.5 loft. The shaft is the Diamana Kai'li 65 Mid in a stiff flex. I never thought I would end up with this model and loft but the computer doesn't lie. Gentlemen, I am absolutely crushing the ball. I had been averaging around 250 yards with my old driver. I am now averaging 275 yards. Some of those par 5's are now reachable in two now. The launch is definitely higher and the carry is much longer. This is one incredible driver. I'm outta my mind happy. Loved seeing my friends jaws drop when I hit my first drive in front of them. Thank you Titleist. You have a winner with the 910 models.

Well, now I'm thinking that I might have to figure out a way to get on a monitor. I've always leaned towards equipment that looks good to my eye, and that's why I like the D3 (deep face, slightly smaller head). Maybe one of the professionals can chime in and let me know how important feeling 'comfortable'  is compared to get the absolute perfect fit. I think I know the answer.

The perfect fit is comfortable backed up by launch data!

  16. My driver swing speed is similiar (108 mph) and was looking for a slightly flatter ball flight so I recently added the D3 9.5 degree 910 with the Diamana Ahina shaft to my bag to replace a 09 Burner fitted with the Diamana Ka'li 75 gram Stiff shft - perfer the smaller head size of the D3 versus the D2 and it is more workable as well.

The Titleist 910 D3 is amazing, forgiving and very long. More consistency with the new Driver and loving it. Surefit system is a winner as well. The Titleist team have done the golfing world a service by offering the shafts they are as standard options - these are serious high end shafts which make the world of difference to what some of the other manufacturers are offering.

Just got my D3 and to fill in some people on the info. I don't really have the opportunity to get properly fitted, but I'm curious to hear from the experts on this. Obviously, there are many different settings to maximize the club, but I didn't get the weighting screws and wondering how much that will make a difference and what they would do. I think I know the answer, but I'd like to hear the differences and what might be the outcomes. Sadly, I don't have the chance to test unless I drive 30-40 miles. Any feedback would be great.

I really think that drive will be worth it!  Let us know where you live and we can probably recommend someone in our network of top fitters!

I'll say, I got lucky by having a fitting day near by and getting fully tested. The shaft testing made all the difference in the world. Got my mind at ease and got me in the right mixture of shaft, setting, and head. If you have questions go and find somewhere to get the full testing done with multiple shafts and settings.
