i have had no less than five sets on new irons in the last year, taylor made 2.0,. R-9"s, R-7's. cally X this and X that. All have strong lofts, upright lies, light shafts, long shafts, "super fast swing speeds ETC.Titleist makes clubs for the better players (i am up to a 10 from 7 handicap) and i do not think at my level of play they are even made for me. Yesterday i received a set of eleven year old black triangle DCI irons with the select lite graphite shaft i purchased off of e-bay. regripped the clubs, walked out on the golf course today (no warm up) hit EVERY green in regulation, birdied a 220 yd par 3 and was on a 575 yd par five in regulation. every iron was crisp, long, with great trajectory and all over the pin on approach shots.the pro v-1x balls jumped off the face of the clubs. i did not have this with any of the other clubs i hit in the last year. time to bring the DCI's back and that early technology. i think this is the time frame golf clubs were their best.now golf clubs are built to correct the golfer rather than the golfer correcting their swing. over $4,000.00 in clubs over the year and a set of $139.00 eleven year old TITLEIST DCI'S put me back in the game

I played the DCI black diamonds (with Rifle 6.0 shafts) for probably close to 10 years.  They were very durable and consistent.  A few years ago, I upgraded to the 735.cm's (DG S300 shafts).  I have to say that the 735's are outstanding!  I still have the DCI's, but I have to say that the progressive set is outstanding.  Hope Titleist brings back a blended set (like the 735's or the ZB's)...
