  1. I was walking around the US Open's practice area and I over heard some of the Pro's at the driving range talking about how hitting your Titleist Driver with range balls will premature thin the club face. Does anyone know if this is true? If it is how long will the club face be good for? Do we have to buy new drivers every other year? The 757.
  2. Hi Edgar -

Metal will fatigue over time but we are talking many years of use and thousands of golf balls.  Titleist products typically run on a 2 life cycle.  The Titleist warranty is 1 year but we will certainly look at each case individually and do our best to provide a resolution for any manufacturer's defect.  Range balls covered with grit may cause more wear more quickly but it would be very rare to see significant damage to the club's performance, even after several years of abuse.

Demo product sees more abuse than anything else and we rarely(if ever) see issues with metal fatigue on demo equipment.

    Hey Edgar,

Best thing to do also is too look and pick out the best looking balls out of your range bucket and save those for your driver.

that way you are eliminating all of those beat up, bad balls that could cause more damage to your new driver.

Like Nick said, it takes a long time to wear down the face.

Even though you want to hit your new driver all the time, i personally still take my 909D and hit quite a few shots with that instead of my new 910. Just so your prolonging the life of your newer driver.

Hope this helps as well. Hit em long!
