5-way leaves more room for the hybrids, fairways and driver in the larger top section and I like the separation for the rest of the irons. So, 5-way it is!

Rich has hit the nail on the head here.

Pretty much this, couldn't have explained it any better. Thanks Rich!

5 way for me. I personally like to keep my metal woods and putter on in the top section
  7. I keep my putter and my driver in same slot, so I prefer the 6 way. That leaves me plenty of room for the 3 wood and hybrid.
  8. This is pretty much the reason I like the 6 way too, other than I actually put my Driver/3-Wood/Hybrid in one slot and leave the other for just my putter. Could be accomplished with 5-way, but I like my putter to have its own place

Too funny, Speedy. I will say though, my favorite configuration is the 14-way top cuff with a dedicated putter well, a la the Titleist Lightweight Cart Bag. But for the Mid Staff Bag I like the 5-way setup.

I will go with Rich said. Makes sense to me and he sounds like he knows what he is talking about.

5 way. Keep the driver and putter in the top.
Plus if Rich, Higley and Speedy like it. Must be good.

  13. 5 is best because it leaves more room to have all your woods in the same pocket!

I have the light weight cart bag with 14 way divider. Love it. If I had a mid weight staff, I would listen to TT members.

I have the mid size 6 way staff bag and love it. Driver, Fairway - Two Hybrids - 5,6,7 irons - 8,9,P - W, W52, SM6 - Putter. This is a perfect configuration. Same as my tour staff bag. I like this separation.

You really don't need any more slots than 5 in any bag configuration.
    Go with 5!

I'll stick with six way all the way
  18. On the mid staff I would prefer the 6 way and configure it the same as others have previously said. Ultimately I prefer a 14 way like Rich T said.
  19. 5 way, although I have a four way.

    5 way....no doubt about it

I'd say 6 way I like a separate divider for the driver and the putter as I keep my alignment sticks with the putter.
  25. I agree Rich T, the 14 for me as I like how every club has its own hole, and generally the grips don't stick against one another as you put them in. So if i had to choose between the 5 or 6 i would go six, easier to organize and divide my clubs for me. One question though, do the dividers run top to bottom? or is it just the top piece only?

Driver putter in top. 6 way the only way!

It's interesting to read how everyone sets up their bags.

I love my 6-way 2017 Mid-Staff. I put 3 Vokeys in front left, Scotty with oversized grip next to them in front right. AP2 PW, 9i, 8i middle left, 7i, 6i, 5i middle right. 818H and 915F 5W back left and 915F 3W and 917D2 back right. Works perfectly on a cart.
