  1. I think you all at Titleist are missing a great opportunity with your apparel, particularly with your hat designs. You should come out with a collection of Titleist hats which displays which type of ball you play on the front of the hat. Featuring "ProV1" or "ProV1x" instead of Titleist would be a great idea for the professionals to display which ball they play and give Titleist a phenomenal marketing opportunity. I think you'd be remiss to not go forward with this idea before cally or Taylor Made comes out with a "Chrome" or "TP5X" or whatever. Be the leader in design rather than a follower!

I think I've seen DJ promoting various products from his sponsor on the front of the hat, including his current ball. That would make others to now be the follower. The Titleist script is a solid trademark, much like the carriage on the running boards of GM cars when they still referred to them as "Body by Fisher". Only Titleist has consistent trademarks like Titleist, FJ, and BV. The others will take years to develop that instant recognition.

I tend to disagree. I actually like how original Titleist is. They keep it simple and not all over the place like the other brands. Just my 2 cents.

Matthew, I agree with the guys above. I see that this is your first post so maybe you are not aware, the "you all at Titleist" is not really this audience. We are mostly Titleist enthusiasts in the general public. There are a few on-line Titleist personnel that contribute to the discussion but for the most part, this forum is us helping each-other or sharing thoughts and ideas. I know Titleist has a successful marketing department that explores ideas and will appreciate any and all thoughts from us all. Maybe a suggestion would be to offer your ideas to them in a slightly less aggressive manner. I'm sure you didn't mean for it to come across that way but it does read a bit that way. Anyway, welcome to the forum and looking forward to many more positive posts ahead.
