Anyone feel strongly about the Stadry bags? I recently needed a new bag, and went with a Players 4+, but am kinda wondering if the Stadry wouldnt have been a better choice. The pocket configuration is definitely different so that is what steered me towards the 4+, but I am curious if the Stadry is popular with anyone? Is the fabric actually waterproof or just coated with a DWR treatment? I know all the zippers are coated and there are fewer pockets on the outside, so unsure of how much storage there is and if its practical for every day use. I could see it being ideal for when you know it will rain, but I guess thats the selling point right?

I have an older StaDry 4UP i bought because it was smaller and lighter that the original Players 4 bags and i love to walk. That was more important to me than the waterproof feature. I rarely play in rain and the regular bags with their rain hoods on do a pretty good job in light rain. The StaDry material is definitely solid waterproof material, not just treated nylon. Some people have reported problems with the waterproof zippers breaking from extended use. Even with the StaDry the rain will find a way in the top of the bag as you pull clubs so I don't know if there is a perfect solution to dry gear in the rain. I currently am using the new 2019 Players 4 as my everyday bag and have the 4UP for trips like Bandon Dunes that might be a bit more rainy. Can't go wrong with either choice.

Thanks for the advice, that pretty much makes sense to me. I played Kiawah when it poured and even with a cart it soaked through, makes sense to have an everyday day then a Stadry for travel when you will play no matter what. Nice to know it’s not just treated nylon, thanks for getting back to me.

I just purchased the StyDry 4 up. Would like to have another pocket for tees, ball markers, etc....Currently there is a mesh compartment to hold those items but the tees have a tendency to fall out when transporting.

Thanks for the info, I rifled through one at my shop and noticed it lacks entire pockets and features within pockets. That mesh pocket you refer to really does tend to lose items, I am convinced it would not be a good daily bag for me. Seems like it would be a good option for a trip to bandon or abroad, when you know will you play, I think I could talk myself into owning one for that purpose... the 4+ is just so nice.

Some velcro on the mesh would have been nice to at least keep the mesh closed.
