If you want the best of the market and not waste your money, these are your best choices, regarding brand....you can get cheaper brands, but you end up with what you pay for.....get the best and they last longer....cheers, Chuck

I have a Bushnell Lazer Tour Z that I love. I've had it for about 6 years and have yet to replace the original battery. Water resistant and tough!

Look at the Nikon 80i. The vibration reduction model can be had for $200. This is the previous year model, but a great deal on a great device.

There are numerous small companies making laser rangefinders now...most for well under $200. They can be searched on google or amazon.

What brand of golf rangefinder can you offer? For $400?
