The Perfect Draw

  1. It was the perfect day for golf. Zero wind, sun was shining, great Michigan golf weather. First one to walk up to the tee box and set up. The hole played 150 yards to the green. Tees were back about 8 yards from normal, and the pin was in the back right/middle. Knew I had to club up a bit to get it there. Normally hit a 9 iron on that hole but I knew the 8 would be perfect if I got enough height on it it wouldn’t play as deep. Set the ball up on the far right of the tee box. The hit sounded perfect, the height was perfect, the draw was perfect. Everybody looked up towards the green, saw the ball bounce twice from right to left and it disappeared. Because the hole played on an incline and the pin was back nobody really knew where it went. My thought was it went to far and ran off the green. As we drove up to see, my couple buddies ran up to look in the hole and as I walked up the one guy said, “Must’ve went over”. Had the perfect poker face. I thought well, here we go. As I walked away he said nonchalantly, “you’re not even going to look for yourself?”..... I knew it had to be in the cup or there was going to be some rough words exchanged. It was in the Cup!! Unbelievable once in a lifetime memory will never forget...
