  1. Last month (June 14), while playing in a US Kids Golf Tournament, our 12 year old Grandson, Peyton Smith, made a hole-in-one at Shoal Creek Golf Course (11th hole, 117 yards) in Kansas City, MO. Peyton was using a Pro V1 (which is his ball of choice due to its spin characteristics and overall superior performance) and he did so using his Titleist AP1 six iron. Peyton is an avid golfer and regularly breaks 80 from the middle tees of about 5800 yards. His dad, grandfather and three uncles are also avid golfers and Peyton holds his own when playing with them. Peyton, who is the son of Kelli and Jason Smith and has a younger brother Nolan (9) who is starting to play golf, of Lee's Summit, MO will be a seventh grader this fall at the Pleasant Lea Middle School in Lee's Summit. Article submitted by Peyton's grandfather, Larry Frevert of Kansas City, MO.
