  1. I was in a scramble for the Independence day golf tournament at Lakeshore Country Club in Erie, PA. We started the match on hole 16 a long par 5 at 830am and our team was not off to a good start. Three of the first four drives were OB. We ended up getting par on the hole but couldn't get anything going. Then on hole 2 another long par 5 one of my teammates from 150 yards out hits a beautiful shot going right at the pin, however a flock of birds flew by and he hit the last bird in the head. Both the bird and the ball dropped to the ground. It was the craziest thing we have ever seen on a golf course until the next hole. We line up on hole 3 and I was the last to hit. This green has been my nemesis as I haven't hit it in at least 12 rounds. I was struggling with my long irons and was watching youtube videos on how to be more consistent with them earlier in the week. The distance was 171 yards up hill into a sustained wind, so it played more like almost 200 yards. I hit my shot and was excited to see it was going to make the green and never gave it another thought. My teammates thought it looked "Really Good", but I was just happy to be on. As I walked towards the hole I saw my mark six inches in front of the cup and a ball on the back of the green. We all thought I hit and shot to the back, however to all of our surprise when I went to walk by the cup I noticed my ball sitting. The excitement and jubilation was something none of us have ever experienced on the golf course before. I struggled to sign the sheet for closest to the pin from the rush of adrenaline. Later in the same round I holed out on number fifteen only to see my ball fly six feet into the air and land five feet from the pin. That was another crazy ending to a crazy day! So on a day that I rode in cart 11 (my fav number and it was assigned), I used a four iron on the fourth of July, the distance was 171 and had the month and my fav number in it, using a Titleist 4 Pro V, the starts aligned perfectly!
