I was playing in our Couples Stars and Stripes tournament that is a best ball format. I was having an epic round going with a minor speed bump on the 14th hole where I had a 3 putt bogey to end up -4 through 14 holes. My good friend Tim is giving me a hard time on the 15th teebox about the 3 putt and telling me to make birdie on the next hole. The 15th is a 370 yard par 4, slightly down hill with bunkers on the left that block the view of the green and need to be carried if you are trying to go for the green, and the flag position was middle-rightside. My tee shot carries the bunkers and is on a frozen rope right at the flag, I turn to Tim and say "something like that?" and Tim turns to our wives and says "Well, Mr. Din has put it on the green". As we approach the green there is no sign of my golf ball, we park behind the green and check the back bunkers and rough, still no sign of my golf ball. Last resort, I check the cup and there is my Titleist #6 Pro V1x looking back at me! I was in shock and felt so lucky to be with my wife and close friends to have my first hole-in-one!
