I started playing golf for the first time in April 2019. I never thought this would happen, let alone after only playing less than a year (could not play three months during Covid). At TPC Stonebrae, hole #13 is a par 3, 107 yards. The flag was on the left side on the back of the green. I used my cally 8 iron and a Titleist AVX. The men’s tee is on one side of thick trees and the women’s tee is on the right. Our friend Jaime watched from the men’s tee as I hit the ball. He yells, “that looks good”. As he drives forward and is now looking directly behind the ball, he says,”that looks really good”. As he reaches the women’s tee the ball has landed on the middle of the green and starts to roll over a ridge and he says, “that might go in”. The ball starts to roll to the left and he yells, “that’s going in” and “it went in.” His wife Pam, my wife Mary and I start screaming and jumping up and down. My wife’s phone starts going off with people around the course asking who got the HIO. Another friend, two holes back came ahead to celebrate with us. Fortunately my wife bought HIO insurance and we drank lots of champagne after we finished the round. I love my AVX’s!!!!! Donna Barfoot
