Went out for an afternoon round with a friend I play with frequently and we were paired with another golfer. At the 8th hole at White Pines Golf Club in Bensenville, IL, the scorecard read 138 yds, but our playing partner had a GPS reading of 152 yds from the tee. I hit a 6-iron and felt like I made good contact. The flight path of the ball was straight at the pin. Hole was slightly uphill and the ball hit just over the fringe and took 3 hops and a short roll into the cup. From the tee, it looked like it was in, but with the foam in the cup, I was still unsure or in shock. My friend and our playing partner were more certain it was in and celebrated before me. I didn't believe it until we drove up to the green and saw the ball resting in the cup.
