I was playing very well through the first three holes. I was one under, and as an 11 handicap index, I'm not often under par. I was quick up to the tee box after I figured out the yardage (161yds) and grabbed my 7 iron. I hit my ball as my wife and our other friends were chatting quietly at the golf carts. It was directly on line and going absolutely straight towards the hole. I said, "Please be the right club," as I eyed the pin and then ball and then pin again. When I said this, everyone at the carts looked toward the green. We all saw the ball bounce twice, roll towards the cup for about a second and then disappear. My eyes opened wide and I looked over to everyone and I said, "No, it can't be, right?" My friend looked back at me and I'll never forget him saying, "I think the ball went in. I'm pretty sure the ball went in!" Everyone else quickly hit their shots and we raced up to the green and I saw the ball in the hole. It's been my dream to get a hole in one and I was overcome with emotion. It was a top 10 life moment for me. The best part was that my wife (who rarely golfs) was there to see it!
