  1. In the era of covid-19 and social distancing, I had my first ever 'hole in one' at my 'home' course. Late in the afternoon I decided to walk 9 and headed over to the golf course. I was by myself and the parking lot was empty. I'm enjoying the walk but not playing especially well, matter of fact, it was pretty sketchy! I get to #7; par 3, 142 yards according to my gps. The self talk goes something like this, 'just start over, make a good, full but smooth swing'. The flag was middle of the green on a two tiered green. I aimed to split the difference between the top tier and the flag. When I struck the ball with my Wilson Tour FG 100 PW, the contact was so pure, I said out loud, to nobody, while the ball was in the air, 'd***, I hit that REAL good!'. I admired it for a long time because it was right on the line I picked. It hit the green, took a fairly health first bounce, angled a little to the right toward the flag which is how the green is sloped, took a tiny second bounce, hugged the green and rolled about 6 inches and disappeared into the cup. I know my eyes got big and I yelled 'oh my god!'. Then I muttered, 'oh my god'. I often run to the course at the spur of the moment to get as much golf in as I possibly can. I love this game and have played it hard for 20+ years. It's beat my brains out a good bit over those years and on this day, it gave me a thrill and another heart break all within the 10 seconds from the crack of the pitching wedge, to the realization that my first hole in one was not, in fact, a hole in one at all! But I still love this game and I love to play it with prov1 golf balls! I used this photo to make a post on facebook with the hashtag #canigetawitness!
