Par 3 playing about 144 to the hole. I’m playing in a match with my retired buddies. A friend joined us on hole 6. There was a man walking down the street that stopped to watch. Also an older couple walking by with their grandchildren stopped to watch. 2 ladies were on hold 5 green with the perfect side view. I teed up my ProV just a lil extra for some hang time. Approached the ball and struck it perfectly. While in the air I knew immediately that it was going to be very close. The ball landed about 3 ft short left of the pin, took one hop, and spun back into the hole! The gallery erupted. The screams could be heard all throughout the course. The feelings and excitement of this moment are unforgettable and unexplainable! I know I will never forget hitting my 718 MB 8 iron into hole 6 at Salida Golf Club. The feeling of an ace around all your friends. There is no other feeling like it in the World. Guess to sum it up... the grandpa walking his grandchildren said “I will have to walk down this street more often”!
