As we were on the tee box of hole #6, 153 yards, at Westwood Golf Course in Newton, Iowa I said to my playing partners, man this pin is set nicely for a hole in one with my fade. I was using a titleist ball and a titleist 716 8 iron. I hit the shot, it looked good, my friend said it has a chance. It hits about 10 feet in front of the pin, hits the pin, and drops in the hole. I couldn't believe it. This is what it feels like to hit a hole in one! Two weeks earlier when filling out a golf profile it asked have you ever hit a hole in one. My answer was no, but I stated "I will hit one on hole #6 at Westwood". Crazy. Also a sidenote. I was wearing two different shoes. Golf shoe on my right foot, regular tennis shoe on the left. I had a blister on my left heel and walking up to the clubhouse it was hurting bad. So I walked back to my truck and threw on my tennis shoe, just on the one foot. Strange I know, but had to share it.
