I was 33 years old...Arguably playing my best golf. The day started at 530 am with our normal am group. The first par three I came to was #4 @ Prairie West in Mandan ND....Great tee shot...lips out...I turn and say to our group, "I will prolly never get a hole in one after that shot"...Continued to play well. After the morning round I played all 4 par 3's at -2...If I remember correctly, I shot a 74....Went home, watched Payne Stewart win the US Open, got the itch and a good friend called and offered a quick 18...More of the same great ball contract....#4 arrives again and stick it to with 6"...again I repeated my earlier round comment regarding my hole in one drought. Arriving on #7 175 yard over water...pulled out my Titleist 990 7 iron,....pured it....it was on the pin the entire way. My Titleist Tour Prestige hit 3 ft short checked and politely found the cup....I have the card in my office and front nine posted 33....followed by a 38 on the back. Great Fathers Day!
