Let me start by saying I've been golfing for 33 years. I've come close to a hole in one several times as most of the golfing world can probably relate to. This was my second time out early in the season in Iowa (early March is usually still in snow cover). The warm weather can be attributed to the 30+ mph winds from the south that provided the warm temperatures reaching 70 degrees. The 7th hole at The Legacy Golf Club in Norwalk, Iowa does not provide much protection from the wind so the crosswind coming into play provided an interesting line that had to be chosen onto the two-tier green with a back pin placement. I started the 134 yard shot left of the green with my 9-iron, allowing it to get nice and high before the wind took over, pulling it back to the crest of the second tier. As it released over the hill, we lost sight of it, so I wasn't sure if it rolled in, or off the back of the green. As we approached the green, there was no sight of the ball, until one of my playing partners ran to the hole to look. The magical shot had finally occurred! I didn't get to see it drop, and I wouldn't say it was the best playing conditions, but the pro-v1 did exactly what it was meant to do. A glorious moment indeed!
