Austin, TX Feb 26th I've played golf for over 60 years and despite a handful off of close ones, not made an ace until last November 19th, the day my grand daughter was born. As it goes, my oldest daughter was due and thankfully had a son, Marshall Ethan on Monday, Feb 24th. I play in the Austin Senior Golf Assoc on Tuesdays and as luck has it, playing my 2nd par 3 of the day, I made an ace to commemorate his birth. I had a yardage of 108 to a back pin with a strong wind in our face. I stood up and hit a choked down 9 ir straight at pin, sun made it difficult but looked like a good shot. I walked up, saw a ball mark about 5 ft short of hole and had a feeling I had made it. Looked over back edge to see if it was long but no ball. Finally, walked over to cup and boom, there it was, my Titleist Pro V1 in bottom of cup!
